Meet Mark

BIOGRAPHY

Mark was born and raised in north Seattle where he met Lavender, his wife of 45 years. They moved to Renton and then to Kent where they raised their family of four children. Mark and Lavender enjoy the Pacific Northwest and all the amenities it has to offer. You may find them sampling wines at the plethora of wineries throughout the region or spending a few days at the ocean - particularly Canon Beach or the San Juan Islands. They enjoy visiting local attractions such as the Seattle Waterfront, Pike Place Market, Crystal Mountain summer gondola rides and scenic drives throughout the Kitsap Peninsula. Family is highly valued by both and you will find them spending time with their children and grandchildren on a regular basis. Mark also enjoys backpacking with his children throughout the Cascade and Olympic Mountains. He also enjoys photography and his office walls display many pictures of past hikes, trips and family events.

Having been self-employed most of his life, Mark truly understands the depth and meaning of customer service. He embarked on his real estate career in 1991 at Prudential Meridian Valley Realty. He eventually co-managed the office with his business partner for several years and then opted to return strictly to sales. When Prudential Corporate sold their real estate division, Mark decided to join Coldwell Banker Bain in 2014 understanding the importance of a national affiliation with a local connection and staying ahead of the "technology curve".

PROVEN RESULTS

Mark is a full time, professional Realtor. He has worked through many different real estate markets over the years and has assisted his clients in over $500 million worth of real estate transactions. Mark strives to stay ahead of the information and legal curve by continually taking classes, attending seminars as well as on-line courses. With changing market legalities and conditions, he generally exceeds the minimally required Continuing Education clock hours mandated by the State. As a member of the National Association of Realtors, he subscribes to the Code of Ethics.

Mark is not a pressure-oriented Broker. Whether the client is purchasing or selling a home, changes occur in the process; in the markets; and in the legal issues year to year. "I have clients thank me profusely for not trying to sell them every house we see. I believe in educating the client as to their options – after all, it is their house, it is their decision! I'm not making the mortgage payments – the client is. I listen to the client. Once the client makes their decision, I then proceed with the utmost care and integrity in assisting them to accomplish their wishes."

This down-to-earth dedication has earned him numerous local and national production awards including Coldwell Banker's International President's Circle award for the past three years. However, production is one thing. Knowing your clients are satisfied with your service is another. Mark has also been a 9-year winner of the coveted "5-Star Real Estate Brokers" award as recognized by Seattle Magazine. The award is for exceptional overall satisfaction as indicated by an independent survey of consumers and industry professionals and awarded to less than 7% of Seattle area brokers. As a result, many of Mark's clients are repeat customers or referrals from happy, satisfied clients.
